For a dry Red Eye, Clear eyes is awesome.

So I've been trying to jump ahead of the curve, and I've been editing the Laid Back video. So far, so good-- little bit of complications with my make shift GS-- but still workable. Little by little, this will be a strong piece.

On the unfortunate side because of my continuous work on the comp and looking at the screen-- I have gone blind. Only kidding, but I have some serious red eye issues. Plus to top it off my headphones broke. Someone please invest in the Jacob fund, help a poor person get new headphones.

Thank you,

What I'm listening to.

Good Ol' Felt-- A tribute to Christina Ricci, A Tribute to Lisa Bonet, & A Tribute To Rosie Perez. DOPE

Other than that the new Diddy track is amazing, the video is what really made me appreciate it more. Also check out the Lupe rmx.

Witnessing a lot of amazing work.

So this past week I've been surrounded by the most talented Chicago artist. The week started off with going to US BEER CO'S "The Get Down" hosted by ILL Legit, and hearing some of the dopest artist from Mr. ILL Legit himself, Wes Restless, Vertual Vertigo, and 1773. All i have to say is all of these individuals/groups were amazing. The dual group of Vertual Vertigo and 1773 was something I have never seen before in my life. It reminded me of a new school A Tribe Called Quest, with the most ridiculous energy you'll ever witness.

I'm also currently conducting Bradleypalooza which is going to be a 3 hour concert at Bradley University on April 3rd. So far the artist consist of Black Matt, GoodLife, Shapes and Atoms, Isis Rose, ILL Legit, and Blah Blah Blah. This event is going to be DOPE!!!!
Bradley be ready to be amazed without a doubt.

On another note my close friends from GOODLIFE are cooking up some amazing, and let me say amazing tracks. Look out for some of their new stuff "My Addiction", "Soulful Music", and "Laid back"-- the video I'm currently shooting for them. Oh yea and their newly added artist Carlos Hernandez-- this guy is the future to R&B, and I just met him.

Heres a sneak peak:

Thanksgiving part 2: Surprise Surprise

So I have to say this break was one of the best breaks I've ever had. Every year it always seems to fly bye, and its just another holiday. For the first time, I'd have to say this was one I probably won't forget. Good times with GoodLife peeps, and great time with my Fam. BLACK FRIDAY STYLE! (insider lol).

But more importantly I found out something quite amazing. Apparently, my great uncle named Isaac Cuevas was a spanish director/actor. He actually changed his name to Isaac Caves, and made novelas and did a feature with Paramount Pictures. This was all told to me at Thanksgiving by my dad and uncle. Funny how my dad knows what my career goals are, and decides to tell me this now. But its all good, I liked the suspense.

Thanksgiving shoot part 1: Chicago

Random shoot I decided to go on with my bro before maxing out on Turkey. Kind of experimented with space, and the complexity of living in the inner city. It was a cold day- but nonetheless beautiful. More stuff coming soon.

Typography

Just something I did in typography. Lyrics are from parts of Umi Says by Mos Def.

Drained

Lately, it's been difficult to be inspired. I've been trying to find that place of creativity and ease, but it's just been a lot of being burnt out from school. Nonetheless I'm ready to go home. Back to the Chi, eat some good Puerto Rican food, and just chill with my fam.

Brown Paper Bag!

Well here it is everyone. My first official music video. On the low budget side, but I gained a lot and learned a lot from this experience. Kind of a last minute shoot before I left back to school, but if I had more time--and if extras actually came to the club scene!-- I'm sure this would be even doper. Thanks for all those who helped.

Enjoy,

whats new...

I have not been on here in a while, but in some sense its a good thing because I've been hard at work. With that being said, I will be having two projects at the end of the summer complete. One is a short documentary about homelessness titled Empty Houses, and the other is a new music video I'm doing with Jus'Sam and BdbBusiness-- Rock This Bag (Brown Paper Bag rmx). Empty Houses is in post, and the music video is in production! yesssssss

Crips and Bloods

Definitely want to check out this documentary. Without question, it's time these issues come to the surface instead of just exploiting these kids as being crime ridden as we see on the news everyday. Hopefully (and I'm sure it will), give insight to our own situation in Chicago and across the US. Over 34 CPS students passed away this year, it's definitely time for a reformation of thought, policy, and action. I can go on for days about this subject, and I can't wait until the day we only have to speak of it as our distant past.

Don't snooze on her

Probably the most overlooked and amazing directors. Without a doubt, Vashtie has brought a revitalization to music videos and to Hip-Hop in general. Here are two music videos, and two commercials for her clothing line Violette. Check her out at: (http://www.vashtie.com).
